In 2013 the Palm Springs International Film Society joins with the City of Palm Springs in celebrating 75 years of Palm Springs memories.
Palm Springs International Film Society strives for a world in which enlightenment, knowledge and tolerance prevail. We believe film as an art form has the power to bridge cultures and illuminates the universality of the human experience.
With a year-round program of screenings and special events, the PSIFS hosts two major annual festivals and presents monthly Special Member Screenings of contemporary domestic and international films, many with special guests attending for post-screening Q&A’s. A minimum of 8 free screenings a year are extended at the Associate level, with additional invitations guaranteed at higher membership levels. Among past member screenings have been The King’s Speech, The Artist, Black Swan, 127 Hours, Iron Lady, The Descendants, The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel and Bully.
