  • Ali Forney Center is the largest and most comprehensive program in the nation dedicated to meeting the needs of homeless LGBTQ youth.
  • Albert Kennedy Trust – UK – The Albert Kennedy Trust supports lesbian, gay, bisexual and trans homeless young people in crisis. Every day we deal with the effects homelessness can have on young people’s lives. We have offices in London, Manchester and Newcastle.

  • Being Gay Is Okay – A GLBTQ website that gives information and advice and is specifically for people under twenty-five.
  • Children of Lesbians and Gays Everywhere (COLAGE) – COLAGE unites people with lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and/or queer parents into a network of peers and supports them as they nurture and empower each other to be skilled, self-confident, and just leaders in our collective communities.
  • Family Acceptance Project of the University of San Francisco has conducted invaluable research on the ways in which parental acceptance of LGBT youth impacts the health and safety of LGBT youth.

  • Gay Lesbian and Straight Education Network (GLSEN) – GLSEN is the leading national education organization focused on ensuring safe and affirming schools for all students. Celebrating its 25th year, GLSEN envisions a world in which every child learns to respect and accept all people, regardless of sexual orientation or gender identity/expression. GLSEN seeks to develop school climates where difference is valued for the positive contribution it makes to creating a more vibrant and diverse community.

  • National Youth Advocacy Coalition (NYAC) –
  • PFLAG – PFLAG is the largest organization in the nation offering support to parents, families and friends of LGBT persons. They have numerous local chapters around the country where parents can find information and the support of other parents of LGBT children.

  • The Trevor Project – A national organization that helps with crisis and suicide prevention efforts among GLBTQ youth. Provides confidential questions and answers for non time-sensitive questions about sexual orientation and gender identity.
  • Youth Guardian Services – A youth-run, non-profit organization to support GLBTQ individuals. Individuals can share GLBTQ friendly media suggestions.
