Seasons of Pride is pleased to present the Gay Pride or LGBTQ Pride Calendar for 2017.  You will find Gay Pride events, LGBT Film Festivals, and the Gay Travel Events like Gay Ski Weeks. We do our best to try and keep up with all the events, but sometimes we miss one or two.

When is Gay Pride?

“CSD” stands for Christopher Street Day, a common name for European Prides that honors the Stonewall Riots that took place on Christopher Street in New York City in 1969.


  • Palm Springs International Film Festival – The Palm Springs International Film Festival (PSIFF) is one of the largest film festivals in North America, welcoming 135,000 attendees annually for its lineup of new and celebrated international features and documentaries. The Festival is also known for its annual Black Tie Awards Gala, honoring the best achievements of the film year by a celebrated list of talents who, in recent years, have included Ben Affleck, Javier Bardem, Cate Blanchett, Danny Boyle, Bradley Cooper, George Clooney, Daniel Day-Lewis, Leonardo DiCaprio, Clint Eastwood, Ron Howard, Helen Mirren, Sean Penn, Brad Pitt, Natalie Portman, Charlize Theron and Kate Winslet.   • Gay Ski Week – Aspen Gay Ski Week is a week-long LGBTQ winter event held in January each year. Aspen is located in the heart of the Rocky Mountains just hours from Denver by car and 30 minutes by plane into Aspen Airport. We have plenty to do for everyone..even if you don’t ski or board. We have daily skiing/boarding on one of the four mountains in the area with guides for all abilities. We also have daily apres ski parties, dinners, comedy, film, boutique & art walk, nightly parties, snowshoeing, sleigh rides, yoga & spa days…and much much more. Aspen, CO; Jan 15-22, 2017
  • Midsumma Festival – Midsumma, Melbourne’s annual Queer Celebration, is a federation of arts and cultural events spread over 85 different venues throughout Melbourne and Regional Victoria. The festival is presented over three weeks from mid-January to February and, having been held annually since 1988, is a significant attraction on the Melbourne festival calendar. Midsumma is funded through the involvement and financial support of our sponsors, our patrons, and our wonderful community.   • Gay Whistler Ski Week – The Whistler Pride and Ski Festival is more than just a gay ski week, it is an 8-day festival that combines Sports, Culinary, Wellness and spectacular Social and Cultural events. Vancouver, BC; Jan 22-29, 2017
  • Reelout Queer Film + Video Festival in Kingston – Reelout exists to celebrate queer media arts and to contribute to community vitality by programming materials that focus on issues of sexuality, race, culture, religion, class, gender, ability, health and age, thereby purposefully drawing together and initiating challenging dialogue among disparate members of the queer communities in Kingston and the surrounding area as well as between the larger Kingston community and the queer community.   • Pride: Bloomington’s LGBTQ Film Festival – PRIDE is a Bloomington, IN film festival exploring a wide variety of issues and situations involving the gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender and queer communities. PRIDE programs a variety of live performance, lecture, public participation events and films that express a wide range of viewpoints and feature many different personality types and situations, advocating community-wide attitudes of awareness, acceptance, and appreciation of diversity.   • Desperado Gay and Lesbian Film Festival – The Desperado LGBT Film Festival at Paradise Valley Community College showcases the best in LGBT film and fosters diversity and multiculturalism throughout the state of Arizona. Phoenix, AZ; Jan 27-29, 2017

  • MIX NYC – The New York Queer Experimental Film Festival – MIX NYC is a community of artists and organizers joined together to explore, share, and create queer experimental media through an ever-changing constellation of means. We make art for ourselves and our community, not for markets or museums. As always, at MIX 27 we are proud to present the latest in queer experimental film and previously unseen works from legendary lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and other queer-identified figures in avant-garde cinema.   • Festival des images aux mots – 8th edition of the Lesbian Film Festival, Gay, Bi and Trans Toulouse “Of Images For Words” The Festival  Of Words In Pictures has found its place in the cultural landscape Toulouse film, as well as local and national LGBT movement. Toulouse, France; Feb 6-12, 2017
  • Rainbows Winter FestivalRainbow Reykjavik combines amazing nature, nightlife and northern lights in fantastic international and local company.   • Auckland Pride – Moving forward into its 5th year, the Auckland Pride Festival is New Zealand’s largest and loudest social and cultural program of events for our Rainbow communities (Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, Transgender, Takatāpui, Fa’afafine, Intersex, Queer), as well as our families and friends.   • Guelph Winter Pride – Guelph Pride organizes annual events for the Guelph community which aim to bring together the Guelph queer and ally communities as well as address issues surrounding the queer community in a safe, educational manner. Guelph, Ontario; TBA
  • SnowGay Weekend – Located in the Pyrenees of Lleida, this ski resort has 47km of slopes, one of the highest snow levels of the Pyrenees (2,751 m maximum and 2,020 m minimum) and a privileged location facing the north, which results in a snow of excellent quality. Feb 10-12, 2017
  • Mardi Gras Film Festival – QueerScreen – There have been lesbian and gay film festivals in Sydney since 1978. Initially these were run by the Australian Film Institute. In 1986, the AFI partnered with what was then theSydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras, to present an annual ‘Sydney Gay Film Week’during the Mardi Gras festival. The film festival was taken over by commercial concerns in 1991 but still screened as a highlight of the Mardi Gras season. Sydney, Australia; Feb 15 – Mar 2, 2017

  • Sydney Gay & Lesbian Mardi Gras (NSW) – SGLMG has existed since 1978 primarily for the benefit of Sydney’s LGBTQI community, the enjoyment of a wider audience and as a global beacon of diversity, acceptance, and LGBTQI rights. It includes the iconic Parade (Mar 5th) and the Queer Screen queer film festival. Feb 17 – Mar 5, 2017
  • Southern California LGBT Health Conference – The Southern California LGBT Health Conference was created by a group of healthcare professional students across Southern California looking to bring attention to the healthcare needs of LGBT communities in Southern California. The purpose of this conference is to educate students and healthcare professionals in LGBT health issues by providing a forum for the discussion of new trends in LGBT health care issues and for cultivating inter-professional networks.   • Utah Gay Ski Weekend – When we decided to expand the Elevation brand to a new resort, Park City was at the top of the list from the very beginning. It is an amazing world-class resort. Park City has a multitude of venues for events, as well as great restaurants and hotels. Park City is easily accessible from anywhere in the country.   • The 4th Annual Lesbians Who Tech + Allies Summit – the Castro District of San Francisco will bring together over 2,000 lesbians, queer women + allies across all areas of technology. Topics include Mobile, Cybersecurity, Big Data, Health Tech, Fin Tech, Software Engineering, Inclusion, Design, Space Tech & Science, and more.   • National Student Pride – Held in London since 2014 the three-day spectacle celebrates our mission to be the pride of conversation. It is centered around a daytime festival free at the point of entry with panels, the largest free LGBT job fair, a performance stage and so much more. This is the centerpiece of a whole weekend of club nights, parties, cinema screenings and events spread across three days held every year during LGBT History Month in February.   • Pride WA Fairday  – Fairday is the main LGBTIQ event for youth to connect with and see other LGBTIQ people from all walks of life celebrating as a community, and to interact with information, assistance and community support services.   • Telluride Gay Ski Week – Telluride Gay Ski Week (“TGSW”) is an annual week-long gay ski event produced by StraightOut Media & Marketing with support from the Telluride Mountain Village Owners Association and benefitting the Telluride AIDS Benefit. Ranked the Top Gay Ski Week in the U.S.A., by gay.com, TGSW is an alternative to other gay ski events and provides a unique vacation experience in a spirited and unpretentious ski town.   • Winter Party Miami – Winter Party Festival is an iconic six-day celebration of LGBTQ people – diverse people from all over the globe – who come together to learn, live, love, laugh and forge lifelong relationships. Back in 1994, our founders kicked up their heels and invited the LGBTQ community to party on the sands of South Beach. More than twenty years later, under the leadership of the National LGBTQ Task Force, that one annual party on the beach has become what’s now known as Winter Party Festival. Miami, FL; Mar 1-7, 2017

  • Gay & Lesbian Travel Expo at ITB – Gay & Lesbian travel is visible at ITB Berlin since 2003 but it became one of the “established ITB travel segments” in 2010. In the meantime, the Gay & Lesbian Travel Pavilion has become an increasingly important landmark. Thus at ITB Berlin 2012 more than a dozen exhibitors were presenting the latest trends and products in the LGBT market on a record display area covering 200 square meters in Hall 2.1a. Mar 8-12, 2017

  • ChillOut Festival (Daylesford) (Vic) – Held on the Labour Day Weekend in early March, the ChillOut Festival in Daylesford, one hour north of Melbourne, is one of the largest and longest-running Queer Pride events in regional Australia. Mar 9-13, 2017

  • Mammoth Gay Ski Week – Elevation 2017, the Fifteenth Annual Mammoth Gay Ski Week!   • Melbourne Queer Film Festival (Vic) – Held over 11 days in late March, MQFF is the largest and longest running queer film festivals in Australia, screening the best Australian and International queer films, shorts and documentaries. Mar 16-27, 2017

  • International Transgender Day of Visibility TDoV is a day to show your support for the trans community. It aims to bring attention to the accomplishments of trans people around the globe while fighting cissexism and transphobia by spreading knowledge of the trans community.
