Gay Pride or LGBT Pride is the celebration of who we are.  Pride allows us to take a stand against discrimination and violence toward lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) people and to promote self-affirmation, dignity, equality rights, increased visibility, build community while we celebrate sexual diversity and gender variance.

      • Miami Beach Gay Pride Festival – Since its inception in 2009, Miami Beach Gay Pride has grown from a neighborhood event to an event on the global stage with A-list celebrities such as Mario Lopez, Elvis Duran, Iggy Azalea, Jordin Sparks, Gloria Estefan and Adam Lambert. Attendance has grown as well. An estimated 15,000 spectators turned out for the first Pride parade in 2009; an estimated 130,000 attended the event in 2016. In addition to Parade spectators, last April’s event included more than 70 parade contingencies, 35 floats, and 3,000 participants. Miami, FL; April 2-8, 2018
      • Cinema St. Louis Qfest – QFest uses the art of contemporary gay cinema to spotlight the lives of LGBTQ people and celebrate queer culture. The event features an eclectic slate of contemporary LGBTQ-themed feature films, documentaries, and shorts. St. Louis, MO; Apr 4-8, 2018

      • Phoenix Pride Parade – Phoenix Pride promotes unity, visibility, and self-esteem among gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender persons; and promotes a positive image in the Valley of the Sun and throughout Arizona through community activities and services. Phoenix, AZ; April 7-8, 2018

      • Festival Cinemarges – Thus Fortnight name changes (sex) to become the Cinémarges Festival that blossoms in May 2005 in Bordeaux with the broader theme of “sex, gender, and identity.” This is a movie buff and quirky festival exploring the cross-gender issues throughout filmmaking.       • BIG BOY PRIDE – Big Boy Pride is a four-day event presented to foster the empowerment and togetherness of same-gender loving larger men and those who support them. Orlando, FL; Apr 12-16, 2018
      • LGBTQ Cartoonists and Comics Conference – Queers & Comics features two days of discussion panels, workshops, readings, and comics galore, along with a multitude of off-site events. This year we will spotlight international and emerging LGBTQ cartoonists, the role of the San Francisco Bay Area, and the future of queer comics. San Francisco, CA; TBA 2019
      • L-Beach – EUROPE’S BIGGEST WOMEN’S INDOOR FESTIVAL. L-BEACH is unique in Europe. About 4,000 women get together for a weekend of partying, flirting, to hear great live music and DJ-sets, to enjoy movies, readings, and workshops or to join in other fun and sports activities. – Romantic beach feeling and relaxation by the sea are all inclusive!       • Pride in the Park – Roanoke Pride, Inc. is the guiding force behind the season-long series of activities and events known collectively as Pride. The centerpiece of our Pride celebration is the Festival “Pride In the Park”.       • Torino GLBT Film Festival – The 32th edition of Lovers Film Festival Torino LGBTQI Visions will take place on June 15th to 20th. In 1981 Ottavio Mai and Giovanni Minerba decided to stage their own rebellion against mainstream movies where homosexual “characters” were always relegated to marginal roles and/or to offensive stereotypes. Their opposition took the form of their first film, shot in video, Dalla vita di Piero. The film was well received at Festival Cinema Giovani di Torino, Turin’s festival for young film-makers, and was then presented at several international festivals. So the seed of the Torino International Film Festival on Homosexual Themes, “From Sodom to Hollywood”, was planted. Turin, Italy Apr 20-24, 2018

      • Outshine (MiFo) LGBT FILM FEST – (Formerly the Miami Gay & Lesbian Film Festival) The festival has grown from a 3-day event in which 25 films were presented to the current format of 10 days with 65+ films. The Miami Gay and Lesbian Film Festival is an internationally acclaimed event serving as a platform for numerous World Premiers, North American Premiers and East Coast Premiers. The Miami Gay and Lesbian Film Festival is the first MAJOR LGBT film festival to occur in the calendar year, setting the tone for the entire LGBT film festival season. Miami, FL April 20–29, 2018
      • Day of Silence – GLSENs Day of Silence is a national day of action in which students across the country vow to take a form of silence to call attention to the silencing effect of anti-LGBT bullying and harassment in schools. Apr 21, 2018
      • Tallahassee Pridefest – Tallahassee PRIDEFEST is an annual celebration designed to promote peace and understanding among diverse cultures, races, creeds, genders and sexual identities.  PRIDEFEST attracts hundreds of people to the Tallahassee area each year and is attracting even greater numbers to its events this year.  Proceeds from the events benefit The Family Tree Community Center.       • Velvet Ibiza Festival – The 2015 first time held “Velvet Ibiza” promises “the wildest weekend for women only” and is “celebrate and forget the rest of the world Hart” devoted to the motto. According to the DJ line-up will be offered a lot. Is already posted the German house legend DJ Hildegard, who brings zumKochen any dance floor.       • Tokyo Rainbow Pride – Tokyo Rainbow Pride celebrates Tokyo’s LGBT community. No matter your gender or sexual orientation, anyone can enjoy the more than 60 events held throughout the week. These include a performance and booths in Yoyogi Park for LGBT-friendly businesses. Finally, Rainbow Week finishes off with the highlight of any Pride event: a parade on May 6th. The Tokyo version is an approximately 3 km march around the Harajuku/Shibuya area. Like any good Pride parade, participants march and ride on floats while dressed in outfits as diverse as the community itself.
