Gay Pride or LGBTQ Pride is the celebration of who we are.  Pride allows us to take a stand against discrimination and violence toward lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer (LGBTQ) people and to promote self-affirmation, dignity, equality rights, increased visibility, build community while we celebrate sexual diversity and gender variance.

  • Queer Collaborations – QC is a conference organized by students for students with a focus on bringing together the queer community. Melbourne, Australia; July 6-12, 2017
  • Rio Festival Gay de CinemaRio Gay Film Festival (RioFGC) encompasses all gender and sexuality in films long and short fiction films, documentary and experimental.   • Pride Barcelona – features a dedicated pride village with food and drink vendors plus lots of activities and performances throughout the weekend.   • Aomori International LGBT Film Festival – This is a multi-faceted film festival, focusing on human sexuality and the rights of all people.   • Tokyo International Lesbian & Gay Film Festival –  The time for celebrating the 22nd Tokyo International Lesbian and Gay Film Festival has arrived. This year, for the first time since the aftermath of the 2011 Tohoku earthquake and tsunami, the festival has returned to being held in summer, in July.   • CSD Munich – Besides fun and festivities, the focus is also very much on the political roots of the CSD. Thus the CSD traditionally begins with the demonstration, which is led by the Mayor, Dieter Reiter, and the Rosa Liste city councilor, Thomas Niederbühl since the year 2000. Afterward, the street festival takes place at the Marienplatz, Munich’s historic central square. And in the evening, the honorable neo-gothic Munich City Hall opens it’s doors and is transformed into an enormous party location for the gay and lesbian community.   • CSD Stuttgart – The Christopher Street Day ( CSD ) in Stuttgart, southern Germany is the largest festival of its kind with a political background.   • Stadtfest BerlinGay Pride will take place in the area bounded by Motzstrasse, Eisenacher Strasse, Fuggerstrasse and Kalckreuthstrasse, spreading over 25,000 square meters, and featuring the Worlds of Sports, Radio, Words, Film, AIDS and Politics, as well as other exhibits from a wide range of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender groups. Along with dozens of information booths and market stalls, there will be a varied range of culinary treats.   • Halifax Pride – This year marks the 28th year for the Halifax Pride Festival. Please join us this July in Downtown Halifax for Canada’s fourth largest Pride Festival!   • Portland Latino Gay Pride – Made up of community volunteers, in 2006 Portland Latino Gay Pride partnered with El Hispanic News and the Jupiter Hotel to organize the first Portland Latino Gay Pride (PLGP).  The goal: to recognize the talents and contributions of Gay Latinos and Latinas.   • Internationales QueerTango-Festival – Queer Tango Festival Berlin  – Germany’s Queer & Tangometropolis invites again: the third edition of the intern. Queertango Festival established during the last 2 years to one of the most successful Queer Tango events worldwide. More than 200 registered participants from all over the world came to Berlin to dance tango, to learn, to meet friends and to make new contacts. The workshops with major international renown tango teachers and dancers were booked out, and the evening activities and Milongas were well-attended. Especially the open and relaxed atmosphere was emphasized by participants and guests. The third annual of world’s largest QueerTango Festival will take place again at the end of July.   • Miami Beach Brothaz – Miami Beach Bruthaz (MBB) was founded in July 2006 as an annual LGBTQ summer lifestyle event on Miami Beach. While MBB is open to any and all individuals regardless of race, gender, sexual preference or orientation, this event’s beginnings were rooted in raising awareness of the increasing HIV /AIDs rates within minority gay communities.  The goal of Miami Beach Bruthaz is to build an educational and informative platform for the LGBTQ community to participate in a high-energy, intimate and interactive event.   • Hamburg Pride – The Pride Week this year is extended by one day and we start on the 25th July with the Pride Night, consisting of a gala with Pride awards ceremony and the opening party in cooperation with PinkInc. A day later opens thePride House opened its doors to a wide variety of events. From 1 to 3 August, as usual, the street festival on Jungfernstieg and Ballindamm instead. There you expect many information booths from the community, music-islands, and an international stage program. For all fans of electronic dance music there on August 1, again theElectro Pride in the tower room of evil and dangerous. If you prefer to charts, pop, house or R’n ‘B dancing is determined on one of the 3 floors at 2 August Pride Dance come in Edelfettwerk at his expense.   • Sheffield Pride – the annual Sheffield Pride festival. A dazzling immersive array of culture, diversity, pride, and celebration spread throughout the city center celebrating the diversity of our community starting with a Mardi-Gras style parade and culminating in a large festival-style event running well into the early hours of Sunday morning. Our core campaigning message for 2015 is #nomorehate – we want to end the persecution and hate related crimes of LGBT+ people both nationally and internationally. By attending the event you are helping to fund the facilitation and running of the hate crime reporting center, train new staff to provide support to the victims of hate crime and provide funding to charitable organizations who help affected people rebuild their lives.   • Amsterdam Gay Pride – Amsterdam will have street parties all weekend long, the best club circuit parties and of course the famous Canal Parade on Saturday. Gay pride is one of the busiest weekends of the year in Amsterdam. Amsterdam, Netherlands; July 29 – Aug 6, 2017
  • Nottinghamshire Pride – Nottingham Pride (aka Nottinghamshire Pride) organizes an annual gay pride festival held in The Arboretum in the city of Nottingham, UK; TBA
  • Stockholm Pride – Stockholm Pride operates with the aim to strengthen the LGBTQ community’s living situation and rights. The aim of the organization is to visualize the heteronormativity in our society and the LGBTQ-community at large.
