The purpose of LGBT Pride is to recognize the impact that lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender individuals have had on history locally, nationally, and internationally and to celebrate our Pride.

    • Outview: Athens International Gay & Lesbian Film Festival – Athens Queer Film Festival takes place every year around April – May for 10 days with awards for Best Film and Audience Award. Athens, Greece; TBA
    • Mr Fetish Germany – As a member of the LFC we discharge of Rheinfetisch the honor together with the Association FGC NRW this year’s delegates meeting here in Cologne. In addition to the meeting there will be an extensive program, which will be released here shortly. One of the highlights we can already reveal that the choice of Mr.Fetish Germany, which was also our Mr.Fetish NRW will participate 2015th.     • Out & Equal Workplace Summit – This three-day global conference featured hundreds of educational opportunities including workshops, expert panels, networking mixers, and plenaries with keynotes from prominent LGBT and ally leaders.Employees and experts joined together to share strategies and best practices to create workplaces which are inclusive of all sexual orientations, gender identities, and gender expressions.     • FESTDIVQ- Festival Venezolano de Cine de la Diversidad – The Venezuelan Film Festival Diversity-FESTDIVQ is a cinematic encounter, activist, academic and cultural artistic and held in Venezuela. It is the first competitive festival of this nature created in the country.The Venezuelan Film Festival Diversity- FESTDIVQ’s main purpose is to promote a space for discussion and reflection of production, dissemination and research of Venezuelan and international filmmaking GLBTIQ (gay, lesbian, bisexual, trans, intersex, queer). Caracas, Venezuela;  Oct 5-7, 2016
    • QueerFilmFest Rostock The annual Queer Film Festival presents short films, documentaries and feature films with queerem Kontent; and as a kick-off event POLDO; in Peter Weiss’s house to create a space for Liebhaber_innen queer films and enrich the cultural landscape in Rostock something.  Like every year, it is the last day of the feast give a legendary closing party from 24.00Uhr.     • Freedom Gay Festival – Maspalomas closes the summer festivals calendar with Freedom Gay Festival. The tourist Maspalomas nucleus will be in charge of closing the calendar of summer festivals that are celebrated in Europe with the premiere of Freedom Gay Festival. From October 6 until October 9, the main square of the Shopping Center Yumbo will receive an appointment with the best House music of the hand of recognized DJs and performances of national and international artists. This festivals festival will be an explosive cocktail of diversion that will bring up to the south of Grand Canary the best of well-known parties as We Party of Madrid, Megawoof of London, or Everybody Together, of Portugal.     • Reel Q – Pittsburgh LGBT Film Festival – In the national fight for sexual equality, film has played an intricate role in bringing LGBT rights to the forefront. The Carnegie Mellon International Film Festival – in cooperation with ReelQ – is proud to represent the LGBT community in this year’s line-up and is eager to break Pittsburgh soil with the premiere of a Venezuelan feature that shares the universality of film and sexuality.     • QueerFilmFest Rostock – The Queer Film Festival Rostock we want to create a space for the Liebhaber_innen queer films and enrich the cultural landscape in Rostock. We also want to contact the Queer Film Festival, however, a sign that people are still being discriminated against because of their gender identity, sexual orientation, and relational forms.     • Southwest Gay and Lesbian Film Festival – One of the State’s largest film festivals. Closet Cinema is recognized as the New Mexico’s leading GLBT non-profit organization dedicated to presenting a diverse array of GLBT images through film media arts. SWGLFF will be celebrating its thirteenth annual event this Fall. In 2014, SWGLFF with an attendance of 4,000 is one of the top GLBT film festivals in the Southwest. SWGLFF will run for 10 days and screen over 100 features, shorts and documentaries in over 50 programs, and represent over 20 countries while hosting an array of guests and filmmakers – creating a truly regional experience. Albuquerque, NM; Oct 7-16, 2016

    • Translating Identity Conference – Opening its doors to the public for the 13th time in eleven years, the Translating Identity Conference (TIC) explores a wide array of topics in discourses regarding gender and transgender identities, expressions, communities, and intersections. TIC is a free, student organized, non-profit conference that seeks to reach not only the University of Vermont & the Burlington community but the nation as a whole. A one-day event, TIC has numerous sessions to choose from at any time that is directed towards people at all levels of inclusion in the trans and allied communities.     • Vox Feminae Festival – Vox Feminae Festival is an international and interdisciplinary festival whose focus is to promote national and international female artists and/or groups of artists and in their work which examine clash of contemporary art, urban and alternative culture and gender issues and gender-sensitive social engagement.     • National Coming Out Day (NCOD) is an annual civil awareness day internationally observed on October 11 to recognize members of the LGBTQ+ community. The process of coming out involves self-disclosure of one’s sexual orientation and/or gender identity. Oct 11, 2016
    • QueerFilm Festival BremenFor six days, the festival presents the Bremen Municipal Cinema  City46 a diverse mix of films, documentaries and short films, which selects the volunteer team of the current annual production. All films are shown as premieres Bremer; if possible in the original version. The supporting program of the festival also includes discussions with directors and activists. Bremen, Germany; Oct 11-16, 2016
    • Reel Pride Winnipeg – bringing to Manitoba audiences gay and lesbian films otherwise not seen in Winnipeg. These were advertised to Winnipeg’s Gay & Lesbian community by mail outs. Winnipeg, Canada; Oct 11-16, 2016
    • Filmfest homochrom – Although Filmfest homo chrome is one of the youngest LGBT film festivals in Germany, it is therefore, the only one in Germany’s gay capital Cologne and its biggest conurbation, the Rhine-Ruhr area.     • The Iris Prize – The Iris Prize – Cardiff’s International LGBT short film prize supported by The Michael Bishop Foundation is the only short film prize in the world which allows the winner to make a new film. Iris is what filmmakers need – funding, support, and guidance. The Iris Prize is presented annually during the Iris Prize Festival which takes place in Cardiff, Wales. The 2016 program will include up to 20 new feature films, screenings of all 30 short films competing for the Iris Prize and the 10 competing for the Best British Short, the Producers Forum, talks and lots of parties!     • Stamped – Pensacola LGBT Film Fest – The Pensacola LGBT Film Festival highlights the artistic contributions both nationally and internationally of lesbian, gay, bi and transgender (LGBT) films and filmmakers. The unique ability of film to transcend stereotypes and relate to the viewer opens the door to a dialogue about the LGBT experience, building a stronger and more open Pensacola.     • Women Make Waves Film Festival – Women Make Waves Film Festival, Taiwan aims to celebrate the achievements of outstanding female talents, to explore different aspects of women’s lives as well as to promote equality and rights of all genders. By covering a wide range of genres, issues, and representations of women, the Festival seeks to present and honor women’s survival wisdom and power as they are turned into films and gain mainstream recognition. Taipei, Taiwan; Oct 13-23, 2016
    • Seattle Lesbian & Gay Film Festival – Held annually in October since 1996, The Seattle Lesbian & Gay Film Festival has grown into the largest event of its kind in the Pacific Northwest, gaining industry and audience recognition for showcasing the latest and greatest in queer film, from major motion picture premieres to emerging talent. An important venue in the Seattle film scene—and the social event of the season—the festival provides unique opportunities for visiting and local filmmakers to engage and entertain over 10,000 attendees.     • Nashville Black Pride – The mission statement of Nashville Black Pride© (NBP) is: to bring together African American and other Lesbian Gay Bisexual Transgender (LGBT)/Same Gender Loving (SGL) People of Color in a social, non-threatening empowering setting to uplift, educate and present positive images that help to maintain a healthy, productive and visionary community.     • Long Island Gay and Lesbian Film Festival – The Festival showcases a monthly “Out at the Movies” series and a Film Festival in November. It is Long Island’s largest LGBT arts event.     • Louisville LGBT Film Festival – Louisville-based group dedicated to promoting and showcasing LGBT media for the Kentuckiana Area. Louisville, KY; October 14-16, 2016
    • The Barcelona International Gay and Lesbian Film Festival / Festival Internacional de Cinema LGTIB de Catalunya – In the present  16th edition, we have expanded our partnership with some important entities, such as Òmnium Cultural, Fundació Àmbit Prevenció, and the opening night will be with Casa America Catalonia. The sessions will take place at the Cinematheque. Several debates and collaborations with these entities will complete the program. For instance, the subject AIDS thirty years later will be discussed with Òmnium Cultural, and the transphobia subject  with the Fundació Àmbit Prevenció of Raval District, Barcelona City Council. Barcelona, Spain; Oct 14-23, 2016
    • National Latino AIDS Awareness Day – The 2016 theme is “We’ll Defeat AIDS con Ganas!” The Latino Commission on AIDS (LCOA), the Hispanic Federation and many other organizations organize this day. The NLAAD campaign works annually at building capacity for non-profit organizations and health departments in order to reach Latino/Hispanic communities, promote HIV testing, and provide HIV prevention information and access to care.     • NAGLREP – National LGBT Real Estate Conference (Fort Lauderdale, FL) The 2015 National LGBT Real Estate Conference is the premiere forum on the LGBT real estate market and issues that influence and impact services to lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender homebuyers and sellers.     • Pite Pride – Sweden’s first Pride tour – seems to lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and other people with queer expressions and identities have the same rights, opportunities,  and responsibilities as everyone else. We support any form of discrimination such as racism, sexism, homophobia, transphobia and the like. We welcome the differences and diversity with a focus on LGBT people – and all people who support this. All people are equal in focus and with Pite Pride, we hope that we contribute to a more open society and promote the development of LGBT people around Pite where we will visit Arjeplog, Arvidsjaur, Älvsbyn and with great finishing in Piteå, where even Pride parade will go.     • PERLEN – Queer Film Festival HannoverIt is a very special year for Hanover Queer Film Festival: The PEARLS celebrating its 20th anniversary – and we want to celebrate big with you!     • Lesbisch Schwule Filmtage Hamburg | International Queer Film FestivalThe Lesbian Gay Film Festival Hamburg | International Queer Film Festival is Germany’s oldest, biggest and queer from the outset Film Festival. Once a year in October they attract around 15,500 Besucher_innen in Hamburg cinemas and places of fringe events.     • NewFest: The New York LGBT Film Festival – New York’s premier LGBT Film Festival celebrates its 28th anniversary and fourth year in partnership with Los Angeles’ Outfest and the Film Society of Lincoln Center with a diverse and compelling collection of narratives, documentaries, shorts and parties! New York, NY;  Oct 20-25, 2016
    • HustlaBall Berlin – HustlaBall originated in 1998 from a New York meeting of hustlers advertising on rentboy.com. HustlaBall Berlin – the biggest and most successful HustlaBall party worldwide. The concept was adapted to the European market and the Berlin freedom made it possible to get a couple of thousand guests from all over the world to Berlin each year. Oct 21, 2016
    • GAINESVILLE BLACK PRIDEGBP is affiliated with the International Federation of Black Prides. Our primary purpose and function is to the community of color North Central Florida and the surrounding areas. Black Pride is dedicated to organizing and promoting unity for diverse people of varying complexions.  The focus of GBP is to provide outreach and awareness of pride, and prevention education on   HIV/AIDS awareness and other health related conditions prevalent among same gender loving communities.     • Taiwan International Queer Film Festival – The first and only LGBTQ film festival in Taiwan comes back for a second year! Taiwan International Queer Film Festival brings back a bigger, hotter film slate including Robin Williams’ last feature drama “Boulevard”;  “I am Michael ” starring James Franco and Emma Roberts;  Thailand and Lithuanian’s Oscar entry for Best Foreign Language Film “Summer of Sangaile” and “How to Win at Checkers (Every Time)”, and many winners from the biggest film festivals: Berlin, Toronto, Sundance, Tribeca, Edinburgh… Many filmmakers and cast will be coming to the Festival for talks and Q & A.     • SF LGBT Job Fair – The SF LGBT Center will host its 39th LGBTQ Career Fair, the nation’s largest, on October 27, 2016. The event, which is expected to feature over 40 Bay Area employers, will be held at LinkedIn’s San Francisco offices located at 222 2nd Street (cross street is Howard), from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.

    • LESGAICINEMAD: The Madrid Gay and Lesbian Film FestivalLesGaiCineMad is the festival of LGBT theme of Madrid most important Spanish – speaking countries, both spectators and scope, and quantity of films. LesGaiCineMad was created to give visibility to this group.     • TasPride Festival (Tas) – TasPride began in 1992 and continue to be dedicated to celebrating, uniting and promoting the Tasmanian Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, Transgender, Intersex and Queer community, through providing opportunities for everyone to come together and share our pride.     • Halloween New Orleans – The mission of the Hosts of Halloween is to provide funding for Project Lazarus, a home in New Orleans for men and women with AIDS, so that they may provide healthcare and support services for their residents.     When is Gay Pride?

    Gay Pride or LGBT Pride is the celebration of who we are.  Pride allows us to take a stand against discrimination and violence toward lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) people and to promote self-affirmation, dignity, equality rights, increased visibility, build community while we celebrate sexual diversity and gender variance.
