The purpose of LGBT Pride is to recognize the impact that lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender individuals have had on history locally, nationally, and internationally and to celebrate our Pride.

    • Lesbisch-Schwule Filmtage KarlsruheThe festival kicks off with the crowd favorite and Teddy winner of last Berlinale the Swiss documentary film full circle. He faded back into Zurich’s gay scene of the 1950s. The focus is on Röbi and Ernst, who met at that time and today are a couple. They will be present at the premiere of her movie. The documentary is represented this year coinciding with several outstanding works. They act, inter alia, the current situation in homophobic Russia, portray young lesbians in Western Europe and explore the female sex organ. New films come from Monika Treut, the avant-gardist of the feminist cinema, and by Canadian Bruce LaBruce, the doyen of the gay underground film. The great Greek film BLACKFIELD plays in a monastery of the 17th century when the country was occupied by Ottoman forces.What unforeseen consequences the felt pen artwork of a 6-year-old boy may have, is highly amusing, the Australian film DIK. And that’s just one of more than a dozen short films selected. Also from Australia comes the film 52 Tuesdays, which takes up a very unusual way the subject Transgender and acting the film days. Karlsruhe, Germany; Oct 3-8, 2017
    • Freedom Gay Festival – Maspalomas closes the summer festivals calendar with Freedom Gay Festival. The tourist Maspalomas nucleus will be in charge of closing the calendar of summer festivals that are celebrated in Europe with the premiere of Freedom Gay Festival. From October 6 until October 9, the main square of the Shopping Center Yumbo will receive an appointment with the best House music of the hand of recognized DJs and performances of national and international artists. This festivals festival will be an explosive cocktail of diversion that will bring up to the south of Grand Canary the best of well-known parties as We Party of Madrid, Megawoof of London, or Everybody Together, of Portugal.     • FESTDIVQ- Festival Venezolano de Cine de la Diversidad – The Venezuelan Film Festival Diversity-FESTDIVQ is a cinematic encounter, activist, academic and cultural artistic and held in Venezuela. It is the first competitive festival of this nature created in the country.The Venezuelan Film Festival Diversity- FESTDIVQ’s main purpose is to promote a space for discussion and reflection of production, dissemination, and research of Venezuelan and international filmmaking GLBTIQ (gay, lesbian, bisexual, trans, intersex, queer). Caracas, Venezuela;  TBA

    • Toronto International Queer West Film Festival – The Queer West Film Festival is gaining an international reputation for offering the best of independent queer cinema and the opportunity to meet filmmakers and artists, participate in workshops and panel discussions, attend galas and after parties and see unexpected performances.     • Pite Pride – Sweden’s Pride Tour – seems to lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and other people with queer expressions and identities have the same rights, opportunities,  and responsibilities as everyone else. We support any form of discrimination such as racism, sexism, homophobia, transphobia and the like. We welcome the differences and diversity with a focus on LGBT people – and all people who support this. All people are equal in focus and with Pite Pride, we hope that we contribute to a more open society and promote the development of LGBT people around Pite where we will visit Arjeplog, Arvidsjaur, Älvsbyn and with great finishing in Piteå, where even Pride parade will go.     • Outfest – The largest National Coming Out Day (NCOD) event in the world in the heart of the Gayborhood! Philadelphia, PA; Oct 8, 2017
    • Out & Equal Workplace Summit – This three-day global conference featured hundreds of educational opportunities including workshops, expert panels, networking mixers, and plenaries with keynotes from prominent LGBT and ally leaders.Employees and experts joined together to share strategies and best practices to create workplaces which are inclusive of all sexual orientations, gender identities, and gender expressions.     • The Iris Prize – The Iris Prize – Cardiff’s International LGBT short film prize supported by The Michael Bishop Foundation is the only short film prize in the world which allows the winner to make a new film. Iris is what filmmakers need – funding, support, and guidance. The Iris Prize is presented annually during the Iris Prize Festival which takes place in Cardiff, Wales. The 2016 program will include up to 20 new feature films, screenings of all 30 short films competing for the Iris Prize and the 10 competing for the Best British Short, the Producers Forum, talks and lots of parties!     • QueerFilm Festival BremenFor six days, the festival presents the Bremen Municipal Cinema  City46 a diverse mix of films, documentaries, and short films, which selects the volunteer team of the current annual production. All films are shown as premieres Bremer; if possible in the original version.     • National Coming Out Day (NCOD) is an annual civil awareness day internationally observed on October 11 to recognize members of the LGBTQ+ community. The process of coming out involves self-disclosure of one’s sexual orientation and/or gender identity. Oct 11, 2017
    • Belgium Bear Pride – The event, formally known as Bear Weekend quickly grew from a small gathering to a major event under the name Belgium Bear Pride in 2014. The program of the planned event will include parties, excursions, fine dining and a rugby match. Mr. Bear 2017 will see a successor take over his crown on Saturday, October 14 with a professional jury and votes from the public, deciding who ‘Mr. Bear Belgium 2018’ will be.     • Seattle Lesbian & Gay Film Festival – Held annually in October since 1996, The Seattle Lesbian & Gay Film Festival has grown into the largest event of its kind in the Pacific Northwest, gaining industry and audience recognition for showcasing the latest and greatest in queer film, from major motion picture premieres to emerging talent. An important venue in the Seattle film scene—and the social event of the season—the festival provides unique opportunities for visiting and local filmmakers to engage and entertain over 10,000 attendees.     • Reel Q – Pittsburgh LGBT Film Festival – The Pittsburgh Lesbian & Gay Film Society will present the 32nd annual Reel Q Film Festival in early October. In the national fight for sexual equality, film has played an intricate role in bringing LGBT rights to the forefront.     • Southwest Gay and Lesbian Film Festival – One of the State’s largest film festivals. Closet Cinema is recognized as the New Mexico’s leading GLBT non-profit organization dedicated to presenting a diverse array of GLBT images through film media arts. SWGLFF will be celebrating its thirteenth annual event this Fall. In 2014, SWGLFF with an attendance of 4,000 is one of the top GLBT film festivals in the Southwest. SWGLFF will run for 10 days and screen over 100 features, shorts and documentaries in over 50 programs, and represent over 20 countries while hosting an array of guests and filmmakers – creating a truly regional experience. Albuquerque, NM; Oct 13-22, 2017
    • Women Make Waves Film Festival – Women Make Waves Film Festival, Taiwan aims to celebrate the achievements of outstanding female talents, to explore different aspects of women’s lives as well as to promote equality and rights of all genders.     • Translating Identity Conference – Opening its doors to the public once more, the Translating Identity Conference (TIC) explores a wide array of topics in discourses regarding gender and transgender identities, expressions, communities, and intersections.     • 40th Oktoberfest Münchner Löwenclub – The Oktoberfest is not only the highlight of the year in Munich but certainly for the Munich Lions Club e.V. (MLC) as well. The city and MLC have in common that international guests from all over the world come to Munich. But only the MLC offers a program that attracts hundreds of hot men to the gay Oktoberfest in Munich.     • National Latino AIDS Awareness DayThe Latino Commission on AIDS (LCOA), the Hispanic Federation and many other organizations organize this day.     • Mr Fetish Germany – As a member of the LFC we discharge of Rheinfetisch the honor together with the Association FGC NRW this year’s delegates meeting here in Cologne. In addition to the meeting, there will be an extensive program, which will be released here shortly. One of the highlights we can already reveal that the choice of Mr.Fetish Germany, which was also our Mr.Fetish NRW will participate 2015th.     • GAINESVILLE BLACK PRIDEGBP is affiliated with the International Federation of Black Prides. Our primary purpose and function is to the community of color North Central Florida and the surrounding areas. Black Pride is dedicated to organizing and promoting unity for diverse people of varying complexions.  The focus of GBP is to provide outreach and awareness of pride, and prevention education on   HIV/AIDS awareness and other health related conditions prevalent among same gender loving communities.     • The Barcelona International Gay and Lesbian Film Festival / Festival Internacional de Cinema LGTIB de Catalunya – In the present  16th edition, we have expanded our partnership with some important entities, such as Òmnium Cultural, Fundació Àmbit Prevenció, and the opening night will be with Casa America Catalonia. The sessions will take place at the Cinematheque. Several debates and collaborations with these entities will complete the program.     • Taiwan International Queer Film Festival – The first and only LGBTQ film festival in Taiwan comes back for the second year! Taiwan International Queer Film Festival brings back a bigger, hotter film slate including Robin Williams’ last feature drama “Boulevard”;  “I am Michael ” starring James Franco and Emma Roberts;  Thailand and Lithuanian’s Oscar entry for Best Foreign Language Film “Summer of Sangaile” and “How to Win at Checkers (Every Time)”, and many winners from the biggest film festivals: Berlin, Toronto, Sundance, Tribeca, Edinburgh… Many filmmakers and cast will be coming to the Festival for talks and Q & A.     • SF LGBT Job Fair – The SF LGBT Center will host its 39th LGBTQ Career Fair, the nation’s largest, on October 27, 2016.     • Amsterdam Kink Academy (AKA) – The Amsterdam Kink Academy (AKA) is a group of gay fetish enthusiasts who arrange events for the community to provide more information on fetish and kink activities.     • Halloween New Orleans – The mission of the Hosts of Halloween is to provide funding for Project Lazarus, a home in New Orleans for men and women with AIDS, so that they may provide healthcare and support services for their residents.     When is Gay Pride?

    Gay Pride or LGBT Pride is the celebration of who we are.  Pride allows us to take a stand against discrimination and violence toward lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) people and to promote self-affirmation, dignity, equality rights, increased visibility, build community while we celebrate sexual diversity and gender variance.
